My Bio

I’ve been working in the software industry for a long time and started writing code when I was 8. I love technology, continuous learning, problem solving and people. A large portion of my career has been spent focusing on integration, solution architecture, design patterns and loose coupling. My focus for the last two years has been cross platform mobile development with Xamarin and I’ve recently achieved the Xamarin Certified Mobile Developer certification from Xamarin University. Other recent areas of interest include .Net Core, Microservices, Reactive Programming and Cloud services like Azure. I’ve been co-organizing and presenting at the Gauteng Xamarin user group for 2 years and I’m really enjoying the public speaking and teaching aspects. I recently spoke at the first Xamarin DevDays in South Africa.

I've worked on a number of Xamarin apps over the last two years which are listed in my bio. Prior to that I have extensive .net / C# and WPF experience on the client side and a ton BizTalk and WCF services experience in the enterprise space.

Xamarin Certified Mobile Developer.
National Diploma Information Technology from Technikon Witwatersrand (now University of Johannesburg).
